- Manage product life cycle, including strategic planning and project scheduling for all phases of product development, including front- and back-end software development, design, QA, unit/user testing and training - Lead product development teams, consisting of data architects, programmers, web developers and user-experience designers. - Establish long- and short-term product development road maps. - Create technical and functional requirements documentation, estimate time and level of effort for various features and functionality, manage project scope, and facilitate decision-making among stakeholders, including senior leadership. - Establish schedule for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of system including upgrades and data refreshes. - Engage with key stakeholders from across the organization (management, research, digital, design, editorial) during product development and socialization of new software solutions. - Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short and long-term releases - Data analysis, BI reporting, creation of requirements documentation with use cases and UML diagrams - Validate detailed specifications and development costing versus market potential and future predictable revenue - Become subject matter experts in product’s markets and provide vision and leadership to technology R&D efforts - Responsible for product launch and release plans.
