• Capacity to supervise the QC team monitoring, informal and formal surveillances on contractors QC and inspection activities for compliance to project requirements.
• Experience in fabrication and installation of steel structures, piping, tanks and pressure vessels as per specifications, standards and HSE Procedures.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical properties, welding metallurgies and welding processes for steel structures, piping (carbon steels, various alloys and stainless steels), tanks and pressure vessels.
• Experience with Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant, PMI, Hardness Tests and Interpretation of Radiographic Films in accordance with ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, EN.
• Experience in QA/QC & Construction Departments in the Oil & Gas and Pipeline construction projects including working knowledge of international standards such as API, AWS, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, EN, BS, ISO, NACE.
• Provide HSE leadership and report unsafe acts and conditions, working with contractors to deliver expectations.
• Strong leadership, good communication and ability to work effectively within an integrated project team.
• Capacity to review and approve Contractor’s Handover Packages, Procedures, ITPs and Welding Documents such as NDT Procedures, Inspection Forms, WPS, PQR, WQT etc.
• Provide technical guidance to Construction, Welding and Quality team members.
• Ability to monitor delivery of permanent materials and ensure the quality of products, consumables and materials comply with requirements of established standards & specifications.
• Excellent time management skills, good planning and organizational skills.
